The Northern Jamaica Institute of Neurosciences is a specialist neurosurgical and neuroscience‑focused medical practice headquartered in Montego Bay — dedicated to expanding access to advanced brain, spine, and pain‑related care through specialist expertise.
Our Mission
Specialist care, closer to the people who need it
NJIN serves patients requiring specialist evaluation, surgical management, and ongoing treatment for complex neurological and spinal conditions. The model addresses a significant need for specialized neurological services outside of Kingston by providing patients in Montego Bay and surrounding parishes with more direct access to evaluation and treatment for conditions requiring neurosurgical expertise.
The practice supports both operative and non‑operative pathways, including assessment, treatment planning, surgical intervention where indicated, and longitudinal care for patients with chronic or complex neurological conditions.

At NJIN, Dr. Pencle leads a clinical offering centred on neurosurgical consultations, brain and spine care, minimally invasive neurosurgical approaches, and pain management services.
